A covered dish picnic dinner was enjoyed at noontime, followed by a business meeting presided over by President Nettie Miers. Edward Baer descendants hold 31st annual reunion The 31st annual reunion of the William Edward Baer Family was held on Labor Day, September 6, at the home of Gilbert H. Ide of Idetown. Girl Scout registration day Sept. 21 Penn's Woods Girl Scout Coun- cil wants to make it easy for girls to join. There will be Open Regis- tration on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at various central locations. In the Back Mountain, Open Registration will be held at Dallas Elementary School, Dallas; Gate of Heaven School, Dallas; Lake Noxen School, Harveys Lake; Lehman Jackson School, Lehman; Ross Township School, Ross Township and Westmoreland Elementary School, Trucksville. Penn's Woods Girl Scout Coun- cil welcomes any youngster who would like to join. Girl Scout Leaders will be available at each of the sites to answer questions and take registrations. Girls should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The registration fee is $6 which covers dues to the national Girl Scouts of. the U.S.A. and insurance for troop activities.
