Lehman students score big in talent search Seventh grade students in the gifted program at Lake-Lehman Middle Level Education Building recently participated in the Johns Hopkins Talent Search. The purpose of the program is to identify students with excep- tional mathematical and/or ver- bal reasoning abilities in order to provide them with ample oppor- tunities to excel. These students took the Scho- lastic Aptitude Test usually given to college bound juniors and seniors. Michael Casey and Samuel Rhodes traveled to Villanova Uni- versity to accept state awards for their outstanding performance. Casey received both math and verbal ability and Rhodes was cited for verbal ability. Certificates of distinction for their high SAT scores have also been awarded to Jonathan Bradbury, Nicole Fallon, Jennifer Klaips, and Joanne White. In additon the following stu- dents have received certificates of participation: Drew Baer, Jessica Elston, Jeffrey Eyet, Valerie Fiore and Ryan Mahle.
