Dukes works in watercolor, graphite and alkyd, but her favor- ite art medium is pen and ink. Her artwork is very realistic as she captures scenes from the outdoors. Her love of history is The Nesbitt Memorial Hospital campus Auxiliary of Wyoming Valley Health Care System, Inc., recently held its Big Chance ticket drawing in conjunction with its annual June Festival. The Big Chance drawing featured over 70 prizes, all of which were donated by local businesses and friends of the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital campus of Wyoming Valley Health LORI ANN KUHAR AND SCOTT WILLIAM MARSHALL Lori Ann Kuhar is engaged to Scott William Marshall Mr. and Mrs. John M. Kuhar of Shavertown announce the en- gagement of their daughter, Lori Ann to Scott William Marshall, son ~ of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Marshall, Jr., also of Shavertown. Miss Kuhar is a graduate of Dallas Senior High School and a summa cum laude graduate of Wilkes University with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. She is employed by Guard Insur- ance Group, Wilkes-Barre. Marshall is also a graduate of Dallas Senior High School and Pennsylvania State University where he received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education. He is employed by York City School Ditrict in York, PA, as a science teacher. The couple will be united in marriage in May, 1994 at Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville. Nicholas and Christine have an older brother, Carmen IV, who is 10 years old. When Dukes is not painting or volunteering to help others, she enjoys knitting, counted cross stitch, needlepoint and playing the piano. Nancy Dukes' artwork is on display at Mellon Bank Dukes resides in Trucksville and is also extremely active in the Trucksville United Methodist Church. She is the mother of two grown children and grandmother of three. The public is invited to view this exhibit of artwork in the lobby of Mellon Bank, Main Street, Dallas, during normal banking hours through the end of July. KAREN "K.C." BOBACK Area girl is named 1993 Little Miss Sunburst Queen Karen “K.C.” Boback has won the title “1993 Little Miss Sun- burst Queen.” Along with win- ning a two foot trophy, rhinestone crown and entry fee to the Inter- national finals, she won a trophy for “Best Attire.” K.C. is the daughter of Buz and Karen Boback, Harveys Lake. She attends the Lake-Noxen Elemen- tary School where she participtes’ in basketball, the Lake-Lehman: i Cadet Band, and is a cheerleader for the Lake-Lehman Junior Knights. She has participated in the Multiple Sclerosis Walk-a- Thon for the past three years. She is a piano student of Professor Emeritus, Rosendo Santos.
