Cappellini to lecture on cults May 16 “What Is the Attractiveness of Religious Cults?” will be the topic of Atty. Gifford R. Capellini when he speaks to the Adult Form on Sunday, May 16 at 9:45 a.m. in the lounge of the Shavertown United Methodist Church, 163 N. Pioneer Avenue, Shavertown. Atty. Capellini, a well known lawyer in the area, will tell of his experiences with cults and why people are drawn to them. He has studied their nature and activities first hand since the late 1970's. The public is invited to attend this one-hour session. There will be no admission charge or offering. The program is sponsored by the Adult Ministry Committee of the Shavertown Church.
