TE plans card party April 26 Members of Wilkes-Barre Gen- eral Hospital Auxiliary’s Card Party Committee recently gathered to plan the annual spring event, which will be held Monday, April 26 at 1 p.m., St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre. ‘General Hospital Auxiliary York City theater performance, courtesy of Martz Trailways; and a $100 gift certificate for Insalaco’s Markets. Tickets, which are $1 each are six for $5, available from Auxiliary members or in General - Hospital's main lobby. A separate raffle will feature “A Taste of Italy,” a large basket of assorted Italian specialties. Raffle tickets are three for $1. Hospice St. John slates grief workshop for April 21 Hospice Saint John, a division 1of Lutheran Welfare Service of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. ‘will offer a six-week griefworkshop for Wilkes-Barre area residents beginning April 21. . The workshop is open to the public, free of charge, and will be limited to 30 participants. Early registration is advised. . Drummin, associate professor of philosophy at King's College, will be featured speaker at the spring meeting of the Hayfield Library Friends at Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, April 18, at 3 p.m., in the Campus Library. Dr. Drummin’s presentation, “The Philosophical Vision of Alfred Hitchcock's Movies,” will analyze over a dozen of Hitchcock's major films. He uses these films in teaching an introductory philosophy course at King's College. The program is free and the public is invited.
