DOVE Post Staff Many offices open in May primary elections Kelly seeks third term at HL Edward Kelly, community- minded individual is seeking his third term for Harveys Lake Bor- ough Council. Kelly is a graduate of Kingston High School. He has attended various Keye Manage- Local tax collectors, school board members, municipal officials and the district magistrate are all up for re-election in the May 18 municipal primary. The following roundup summarizes the open positions: e Dallas School District: school board president John Cleary* and school directors James Richardson, Thomas Landon and Thomas Stitzer*, who are elected at large. e Lake-Lehman School District: Region 1 (Lake Township, Noxen and Harveys Lake): Mildred Dobash*. Region II (Ross Township and the southwestern and central districts of Lehman Township): Kenneth Williams*. Region III (Jackson Township and the northeastern district of Lehman Township): Dr. Martin McMahon and Joseph “Red” Jones. Roberts Volunteer Fire Company, Past President of the Lake Silkworth Lions Club, Presi- dent of the Dallas Area Fall Fair Association and Chairman of the Luzerne County Fair. Poetry Society to hold student poetry contest For the 10th year the Wyoming Valley Poetry Society will sponsor the Student Poetry Contest as part of the 1993 Fine Arts Fiesta on Public Square. The theme of Fiesta this year is * “Celebrate the Arts” and poets are asked to try to use this as the + subject of their poem. L-L Jr. Knights football registration March 18 The Lake-Lehman Jr. Knights Football Club will hold registration for the 1993 season on Thursday, March 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lehman High School cafeteria. Football registration is open from ages 7 to 13. Boys age 14 may register if their weight is below 110 lbs. The cheerleading roster is full with the exception of 12 to 13 year old girls.
