2 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, February 17, 1993 | Police report Dallas Borough { TRUCK HITS UTILITY ‘POLE IN SNOW | According to Dallas Borough ;police, a 1988 Ford F-150 pickup ‘truck oprated by Stephen J. Vojtek, 32, of Swoyersville, was linvolved in a one-vehicle accident ‘Friday morning, February 12. ‘Police said that as Vojtek was ‘attempting to put the truck into four-wheel drive while rounding a curve on Main Street, the truck 'slid, striking a utility pole head- on. The truck sustained severe damage and was towed from the 'scene, police said. JUVENILE CHARGED IN FRACAS A , Dallas Borough police charged ‘a 13-year-old male juvenile with disorderly conduct Thursday, February 11, in connection with a fight with several other juveniles in front of Mimmo's in the Dallas Shopping Center. MAN CHARGED WITH INDECENT EXPOSURE, DRUG VIOLATIONS According to Dallas Borough police, Charles Frank Patton, 36, bf Noxen, was arrested and eharged with indecent exposure, open lewcness and violation of the Controlled Substances Act. Police said that Patton had ex- posed himself in front of an atten- dant at the Hess gas station. During a routine pat-down and frisk search, police found 16 syr- inges, three teaspoons containing a white residue, a brown pre- scription bottle containing a clear liquid, a disposable lighter and a pack of cigarettes with two folded papers containing white powder, which police tests indicated was , eocaine. ARRESTS Dallas Borough police made the following arrests for driving while under the influence, after failing field sobriety and blood alcohol (BAC) tests: e Terry Daniel Benales, 23, of Philadelphia, was also cited for driving withoug a license after police observed him driving errat- icallyon Route 415. Benales stated to police that he was looking for his sister's house in Hazleton. Police confiscated a baseball bat and a black 1.77-caliber Cross- man Repeater 4mm BB pistol and ammunition after searching his vehicle. Benales' BAC level was .17, police said. e John M. Slaby, 41, of Dallas, was arrested for D.U.IL. after the 1991 Chevrolet which he was driving struck the rear end of a 1987 Subaru operated by Dina Marie Scavone, 27, of RR 1 Sweet Valley, pushing it into the rear of a 1979 Ford sedan operated by Jeffrey Carter, 21, of Dallas, while they were stopped at the traffic light on Route 415 at Dallas Cor- ners. Police said that Slaby’s BAC was .20, twice the legal limit. e Robert John Kubacki, 21, of Shavertown, was charged with D.U.IL and violating the Controlled Substance Act after police ob- served him driving erratically on Route 309 with his cars windows frosted up. Police found marijuana during a routine search of the car. e Timothy R. Philmeck, 42, of Tunkhannock, was arrested after police observed him driving errat- ically on Route 309., POlice said that his blood alcohol level was .18, nearly twice the legal limit. e Robert Jordan, 45, of RR 1 Dallas, was arrested after police observed him driving erratically on Route 309. He refused three times to consent to a BAC (blood alcohol test). THREE ACCIDENTS DURING SNOWSTORM Kingston Township police in- vestigated three one-vehicle acci- dents during the February 12 snowstorm: e Jacqueline Domzalski, 44, of Shavertown, lost control of her 1991 Mazda while traveling down- hill on the snow-covered roadway on North Pioneer Ave, striking a culvert, police said. Patrolman Walter Davis investigated the accident. e A 1985 Dodge Caravan oper- ated by Robert Stambaugh, Jr., 19, of Trucksville, slid on the snow- covered roadway while traveling north on North Pioneer Ave., slid- ing into a ditch, onto an embank- ment, through a hedge and across a sidewalk, where it struck pedes- trian John Clause of 115 North Pioneer Ave., police said. Patrol- men Walter Davis and Wade Curtis investigated the accident. e A 1987 Plymouth Horizon operated by Diane Huff, 32, of RR 1 Falls, spun and hit a guardrail on West Eighth Street in the vicin- ity of Mount Zion Road, police said.
