This book was presented to the library by Abigail Harwood in memory of her grandparents, Charles and Mary Frantz. The stories include “Chicken Licken,” “The Really Ugly Duckling, “The Tortise and the Hair,” “Cinderrumplestiltzkin,” “Little Red Running Shorts” and “Jack’s Bean Problem.” The book includes ten complete stories with 25 lavish paintings. The stories are written in different size letters and some of the writing is upside down. “If you really want to read it — you can always stand on your head.” The stories in this « book are almost fairy tales. But not quite. Some of the stories are fairly stupid. What else would you cell a story like “Goldilocks and the Three Elephants?” ‘Who are they?
