She was born in Nanticoke October 5, 1904, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Landay. She was employed by the former Helen K. Salsburg Candy Co., Wilkes-Barre. She was a member ofthe Trucksville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ashworth was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn, in 1990; brother, Harold; sisters, Helen Smith, Dorothy Brazill Clocker and Florence Shively. Surviving are a son, Lynn W., Shavertown; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Lesnick, Wilkes-Barre. Services were Friday, January 29 from the Harold C. Born in Ashley, he was a son of Michael and Elizabeth Langan Callahan. He lived in Ashley his entire life, attending schools there and in Hanover Township. He was employed as a construction worker. Cross, 66, of First Avenue, Kingston, died January 26, 1993 at Nesbitt Memorial ~ Hospital, Kingston. Born in Workwith, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Albert V. and Esther Mylrae Cross. He attend the Beaumont School. He had been a resident of Dallas for many years, moving to Kingston in 1990. Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a heavy equipment operator by Frank Michaels of Dallas. He was recently a member of the maintenance staff at the Irem Temple Country Club. He was a member of several bowling leagues in the Back Mountain and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor. Surviving is a sister, Borden, New Britain, Conn. The funeral was held from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Dallas.
