The contest is open to students of English or Creative Writing who are in grades 5-12 in the schools of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Winning poems will be published in a special PPS NEWSLETTER, and be considered for entry in Manningham Student Awards of the 1993 National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS) Contest. Deadline for all entries is postmarked by midnight March 1, 1993. Trustee + Achievement Scholarship . competition on Saturday, Feb. 13. Merit scholarships of varying amounts will be awarded to five students who excel in academics, | according to John R. Eidam, dean + of admission. : Five scholarships will be awarded regardless of economic need. Recipients may also apply for financial aid if additional assistance is needed. The awards will be granted to the students who, in the judgment of the Trustee Achievement Scholarship committee, combine outstanding performance on a competitive examination, with high qualities of citizenship, and a strong record of academic achievement. Any student entering the ninth or 10th grade and not now enrolled at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School may compete for the scholarships. Candidates interested in applying should contact the Admission Office, Wyoming Seminary, Kingston 18704-3593. Candidates will then be asked to submit a scholarship application, participate in an interview before members of the scholarship committee and complete the February 13 examination.
