LCCC has integrated Neil's course concept into other college curriculum such as Surgical Tech- nology, Arts and Design, and Auto- mobile Technology. Neil will act as chairperson of the Hotel and Restaurant Manage- ment Department through the 1992-93 academic/fiscal year at LCCC, Drey fuss will run Hospice St. {Hew Volunteer Service Michelle Dreyfuss, Dallas, has been named Volunteer Services Manager at Hospice Saint John, a division of Lutheran Welfare Serv- “ice of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The appointment was announced by Brian Thomas, administrator of Hospice Saint John. [ her new position, Dreyfuss 1 manage all activities related to recruiting and training volunteers for HospiceSaint John, which vides care to terminally ill people a six-county region of North- fron Pennsylvania. She will be developing new programs and opportunities for the many indi- viduals who choose to volunteer for hospice. Fromel has been pro- ».~~moted to the position of auditor of First Eastern Corp. according to an announcement made by First “Eastern Corp.'s board of directors. Ms. Fromel serves as the direc- tor of the company’s internal audit function and will be responsible developing and implementing r 9. organization's comprehensive internal audit plan. The audit plan designed to evaluate the adequacy “of internal controls in safeguard- ing the company’s assets will also insure compliance with policies and procedures and the efficient use of company resources. The auditor's position reports directly to the board of directors through its audit committee. Prior to her promotion, Ms. Fromel served as a senior assis- tant auditor in the internal audit department and was responsible for managing the various audits of “First Eastern Corp. and its sub- sidiaries. Prior to joining the bank, she held accounting positions in a public accounting firm and in pri- vate industry. She is a graduate of Wilkes College where she received a B.A. degree in Psychology and a B.S. degree in Accounting. Along DONNA FROMEL with being a Certified Public Ac- countant, Ms. Fromel is also a Chartered Bank Auditor. Ms. Fromel is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Ac- countants, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. She and her husband William reside in Dallas. Education fair November 18 at Dallas High School ” The Dallas Senior High School Guidance Department is planning an Education Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 18. This special program is scheduled for the afternoon from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Approximately 55 =~colleges, technical schools and branches of the armed services will set up displays in the gymna- sium. Interested juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to speak with the various admissions per- sonnel. community members are encour- aged to attend. Spaghetti supper November 4 The Lake-Lehman Football Club, with the assistance of various athletic organizations at Lake-Lehman High School will sponsor a spaghetti supper for the benefit of the Ed Tuirchin family. The dinner will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the Lake-Lehman High School cafeteria. Serving will be 5 to 8 p.m. The cost of the tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for children. Takeouts will be available. Tickets will be available at the Lake-Lehman High School office, from members of the football club, and at the door that night. Ed Turchin is a 1992 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and is recovering at a Philadelphia hospital following a serious operation. Please come out and lend the family your support. Service club craft fair needs exhibitors The Harveys Lake Women's Service Club will be presenting their Second Annual Christmas Craft Fair on November 22, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Lake Noxen Elementary School. The club is looking for exhibitors to display their crafts at the fair. Exhibitors must provide their own chairs, tables, and covering for the tables.
