This is the first application that the Music Box Players have made to the Pennsylvania Coun- cil, and the Players are the first theater company in Luzerne County to be awarded a grant. Shoot for the Moon is written by Debbie Zeyner and Lee Tho- mas, with music by Ted Ander- son. This “space odyssey” takes kids on a journey to the moon on board the U.S. S. Starhopper, a cargo ship designed to pick up and recycle “space junk” dumped by the human race. Like all of the Music Box chil- dren's productions, Shoot for the Moon has been written by local residents. Debbie Zehner, who also directs this produc- tion, lives in Horizon Village, Mountaintop and is an Elemen- tary school teacher in the Hazle- ton Area School District. Co- author Lee Thomas is a VM Systems Programmer for Na- bisco Brnads and resides in Sutton Hills, Jackson Township. The final member of the team is Vicky Gallagher, Manager of Chamber Operations, Chamber of Commerce in Wilkes-Barre New children's play at Music Box MUSIC BOX RECIEVES GRANT- Ted Anderson, Debbie Zehner and Vicky Gallagher plan the Music Box Players’ production of “Shoot for the Moon.” who lent her expertise in educa- tional children's theater and grant writing to this team.
