Jer- emy Packard, announced that the opening of the 149th accademic year will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 8 for students at the Lower School in Forty Fort, and on Wednesday, Sept. 9, for students at the College Preparatory School in Kingston. D. Allan Woodard, dean of the Lower School, there will be an ori- entation for new middle school stu- dents, grades five through eight from 1 to 2 p.m. on September 4. Regular classes will begin at 8:30 a.m. on September 8. The registration schedule: for students at the Upper School is 'as follows: On Friday, Sept. 4, there will be a meeting of all new day students and their parents from 9to 10 a.m. in the Buckingham Performing Arts Center, Sprague Avenue. This will be followed by an activities fair in the Pettebone-Dickson Student Center. At 11 a.m., new day stu- dents and their parents whose last names begin with A-L will register in the Stettler Learning Resources Center, Sprague Avenue, followed by brunch in Fleck Hall. Students and parents whose last names begin with M-Z will be served brunch at this time, and will follow with registration. At 12:45 p.m. all new day students will be tested in the S.L.R.C. From 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., reg- istration for returning day stu- dents whose last names begin with the letters A-L will take place in the S.L.R.C. Students whose names begin with the letters M-Z will reg- ister from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. Orientation activities for all new day students will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Carpenter Athletic Center. Casual attire is suggested and attendance by all new students is required. Chang- ing facilities will be available. There will be a special opening day convocation for the Seminary community held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9 in the Buckingham Performing Arts Cen- ter.
