The Fair is slated for September 9 through the 13th, and the Luzerne County Fair Princess Competitions will be held on “Family Day”, Sunday, Sept. 13 beginning at noon, at the fair grounds, Rt. 118, Dallas/Lehman. Winners in all age divisions will be awarded U.S. Savings Bonds and/or gifts. Following tradition at the Luzerne County Fair, 2-5 year olds should simply come dressed as their favorite fairy tale character. They'll be judged on costume creativity and origi- nality, and personality. Both a Fairy Prince and Princess will be se- lected by the judges panel. The Little Princess Division is for 6-8 year olds, and each will present herself on stage for the judges wearing a fun dress or sportswear outfit and then answer a few brief questions. Little prin- cess will be judged on personality, poise and appearance. Nine to 11 year olds are invited to participate in the Junior Prin- cess event. These young ladies will be asked to also model on stage in a fun dress or sportswear outfit, and answer a few brief questions. Judging will be based on poise, appearance and personality.
