Tim Sutliff led the winners with 19 while Paul Darling added 18. Fitch, without the services of leading scorer Ray Russin due to an ankle injury got solid efforts from Jay Straigis, 17 ts and Clark Van Orden, 14 points. The Fieldhouse, now ad- vances to the semi-finals while Fitch & Sons is eliminated. The Lion Inc. also advanced by dumping Jim-Jon Tomatoes 77- 62. Bill Cuff had his usual strong game for The Lion and finished with 22. Neil Johnson chipped in with 16. Tom Shalata had 22 for the losers while Jeff Poorman added 14. Humphreys had no problem in moving on in the playoffs and ripped Payne Printery 71-54. Guards Mike Hosey, 22 points and Frank Debona, 19 points had fine games for the winners. Payne was led by Bob Jones with 19 and Rob Wilson with 17. The semi-finals will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. with The Fieldhouse locking horns with The Lion Inc. This game promises to be a dandy with the winner advancing to play Humphreys for the overall league title on Wednes- day, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. Screenprinting 5-4 win ties Marina Cafe for first place Screenprinting USA scored five ruass in the third inning and went off@@o a 5-4 win over the Marina Cafe to lock the teams in a first place tie in the Back Mountain Slow-Pitch Softball League. Both teams are 9-2 with three games remaining in the regular season. The Marina took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the third, but the Printers rebounded with a five-run rally. Don Crispell and Walt Konopke singled and Scott Cris- pell reached on error to load the bases. Tom Yoniski, Scott Shafer and Jack Barbacci followed with con- secutive singles to complete the inning. Konopke and Barbacci had two hits each for Screenprinting while Len Zielen, Gary Naugle and Chris Wargo had two hits for the Marina Cafe. ‘cheerleaders are urged to attend. Sports roundup Bok Choi wins Irem Women's golf The Irem Womens Golf Association held a Nassau Match on July 28 at the course in Dallas with Louise Moore winning the front nine, Jeanne Francis the back nine and total by Bok Choi. The weekly prize was also won by Bok Choi in Flight B. Putting prizes were won by Flight A, Barbara Vivian, Flight B, Jeanne Francis and Flight C, Theresa Balliet. A Locker Room meeting will be held on August 4 at 9 a.m. followed by a Shot Gun Tournament for the Frederick Trophy. All interested parents of football players and Keystone Field Hockey Team will begin play The Pocono Region’s Field Hockey Team will begin play in the Keystone games August 7 and 8. Winning a gold last year, coach Jean Lipski, of the Lake-Lehman School district expects this year’s team to be strong as well. Other coaches are Lois Groff, of East Stroudsburg, Marge Kelly, of Wyoming Valley West, and Sandy Boyle of Lake-Lehman. The team’s first game will be Friday, Aug. 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Stabler Arena at Lehigh Univer- sity. Kelly plays first base for the Harveys Lake Little League and Lake- Lehman Junior High School Kim is a catcher for Harveys Lake Little Legue and Lake-Lehman Junior High School. They are the daugh- ters of Daniel and Nancy Spencer. The Keystone State Games are patterned after the Olympic pro- gram; athletes will earn gold, silver and bronze medals in each division of 27 sports at the finals. Dershimer of Harveys Lake will be among more than 6,000 Pennsylvania amateur athletes to compete in the 11th annual Keystone State Summer Games finals slated for Aug. 5-9, in the Greater Lehigh Valley. Dershimer has entered the soccer competition, Interme- diate Division in the Pocono Region. Dershimer is a sophomore student at Lake-Lehman. She is the daughter of Gordon and Margaret Dershimer. The poor weather kept the lake free of motorboards thus enhanc- ing the condition for a good sail- boat race. The course was laid out over three and one half miles and began at the Yacht Club buoy proceeded to a buoy near the Hughes dock then on to Hansons and Alderson, back to Hansons and finishing at the Yacht Club buoy via Alderson. all boats fin- ished in the allotted time of one hour and 30 minutes. Commodore Clinton J. Lehman, M.D. posted the following results: 1st place in one hour three minutes and six seconds, Dale Campbell, HLYC; Humphreys and crew Scott Lozo both of HLYC in a Phantom.
