ONE-CAR ACCIDENT ON COUNTRY CLUB ROAD According to Dallas Township police, a 1989 Ford Escort driven by Lori Kathleen Strohl, 18, of Falls, was involved in a one-ve- hicle accident Friday, July 24, on Country Club Road near Irem Road. Police said that Strohl was driving west on Country Club Road, when she lost control while round- ing a left-hand curve. The car mounted a stone retaining wall and spun counterclockwise, com- ing to rest against a large oak tree alongside the road, police said. Stanley Jarolin, ; announced recently that $1.7, million has been released for the addition of a one-story building at the State Correctional Institution at Dallas. The building, which will be ad- jacent to the existing infirmary, will be used for treatment rooms, visiting rooms and office space. The council authorized borough manager Milt Lutsey to purchasse lumber to partition the inside of a storage building to make a locked garage for the police cruiser. Council voted to increase the salary of John Shuraites, a road crew member, to $8.35 per hour. George Hasay said today that the deadline to apply for the 1991 property tax/rent rebate program has been extended to Dec. 31. Hasay noted that eligibility for the program is limited to individu- als age 65 or older, widows and widowers age 50 or older or perma- nently disabled persons with total household incomes not exceeding $15,000.
