JEFFREY GOLD Jeffrey Gold wins 3rd in Stock Market Game Jeffrey Gold, a student at the Lake-Lehman High School recently took third place in the Stock Mar- ket Game sponsored by the Uni- versity of Scranton. The students invested $100,000 of imaginary money over a 10-week period. Over 150 teams from 30 schools participated in the competition. After 10-weeks, Gold parleyed his original funds into an imaginary Jeffrey Kunkle honored with Kubis Award Jeffery Kunkle was recently honored by being presented with the arfnual William W. Kubis Memorial Award. The award is pre- sepited to the Dallas Middle School student who exemplifies a pagitive attitude toward the responsibilities inherent in being a student and citizen. Jeffery is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert by-laws were amended to allow for the election of a lay person or cleric to the position of chairman and vice-chairman. Robert Paley (St. Therese’s) was elected chairman; Gerard Lupien (Gate of Heaven) was elected vice-chairman and Monsignor Kevin O'Neill, Pastor of St. Therese’s was elected secretary. The Pastoral Board is responsible for assisting in the implementation of Diocesan policies and regulations in regard to strategic planning, public relations, as well as for the preparation and overseeing of the budget.
