After an unsuccessful attempt | to pull him from the water, Vigorito | and Chesbrough ran to a con- struction crew working nearby on Meeker Road for help. DOVE Post Staff Emergency crews were first sent to the Harveys Lake Rod and Gun Club, in the Alderson section on the opposite side of the lake. Nearly half an hour elapsed before a sec- ond call directed rescue personnel to the correct location. Harveys Lake Ambulance Cap- tain Ken Carey said that Kreidler had been pulled from the water by the time that the ambulance crew arrived on the scene. Kreidler was pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m. at Nesbitt Hospital. “This mixup was a very unfortu- nate thing,” Carey commented. “The caller was very excited; no one was really at fault.” Carey urged the public, when calling 911, to try to give the emergency dispatcher as correct and complete information as pos- sible so that rescue personnel can get to the scene quickly. Police report ‘Dallas Borough MAN ARRESTED FOR D.U.L According to Dallas Borough police, Edward George Tempro, 27, of Pocono Manor, was arrested Wednesday, June 17, for driving while under the influence after failing field sobriety tests, a portable breath test and a blood test. Patrolman William Norris investigated the incident. FUGITIVE APPREHENDED According to Dallas Borough police, Thomas Bradley White, 34, of Forty Fort, was cited Thursday, June 18, for driving while drinking an alcoholic beverage and driving with a suspended operator's license. A routine records check indicated that White was also wanted by the Luzerne County Sheriff's Department for failure to appear at a hearing at the courthouse, police said. Police said that someone tried unsuccessfully to enter the building by smashing the outside cover of a fan in a cinder block wall in the lower level of the building. DOVE Post Staff Dallas Borough council ap- pointed Leo Corbett as engineer for a capital improvements project at its regular meeting Tuesday, June 16. Funded bya $50,000 grant from the Luzerne County Office of Community Development, the project includes improvement of storm drains in the Parrish and Davenport Street area. Council expects work on the project tobegin in early July.
