(Post Photo/Eric Foster : Class president recalls growth through the year At the start of the 1991-92 school year, it seemed to Nicole Argentati that the Dallas Senior Class would be just a collection of individuals, not bound together by any unify- ing experience. “I felta lot ofapathy in my class, like no one cared and towards the end of the year everything turned around,” said Argentali, president ‘of the senior class. One of the turning points for the class was their picnic at Hickory Run State Park May 29. Though many of the soon-to-be graduates would soon be looking ahead to college, or work, and they'd head off in a myriad of direc- tions, the picnic gave them one last chance to be young and be together. “The picnic was so much fun, we gotback toour childhood years,” says Argentati. “Everybody brought those waterguns, we played Red Rover. We took our principal and dumped him in the lake. It took 10 guys to pick him up.” The event was remembered by several of the speakers at the class's commencement. “Anybody who was dry got dunked by somebody,” said Argen- tati. The positive trend continued at the Senior Banquet on June 8 at the East Mountain Inn. “At the senior banquet it was so nice. You saw people in a group and they all meshed together,” said Argentati. “It kind of overcame the cliques and we became one. We came together. I knew in my heart we could go out and have a good time together.” Argentatli is a member of the National Honor Society, and played soccer and field hockey for most of her high school career. She will attend the University of Scranton where she'll be in the Pre-Med program. Eventually, Argentati would like to be a child psycholo- gist.
