This school calendar has school begin- ning prior to the Labor Day Holi- day. It is comprised of 180 school days for students and 185 days for teachers. An added feature of the 1992-93 school calendar is the parent conference days for secon- dary students. Parent conferences for the elementary students were established in 1974 and have been extremely successful. This is the first year that parent conferences for the secondary students are specifically indentified on the school district's calendar. The district is optimistic that the sec- ondary conferences will be as successful in providing communi- cation between parents and teach- ers at the secondary level as we are at the elementary level. The first day of school for stu- dents will be September 2, 1992. Elementary parent conferences are scheduled for November 16, 1992 and April 19, 1993. Secondary parent conferences are scheduled for November 23, 1992 and April 21, 1993. calling 674-3230.
