The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, May 20, 1992 9 CLL SCHOOL Lake- Lehman seniors take their annual trip to the nation’s capital By CHUCK FINN Student Correspondent Over the Mother's Day week- end, the Lake-Lehman senior class traditionally ventures off to the nation’s capital. This year was no exception. On Friday May 8th, the Lake- Lehman seniors began their trip at 5:30 a.m. leaving from the Lake- Lehman high school. Four hours later, they arrived in Washington D.C. where they began a series of § Over a four-day span, the & tours. seniors toured Lincoln Memorial, Ford's Theatre, Arlington Cemetary, Washington Monument, Vietnam Wall, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. They alsospent an evening at a dinner theatre, where they had dinner and viewed the production of Grease. Chaper- ones for the trip were faculty members Richard and Dreena Gorgone, Frank Wilczewski, Lynn Evans, Linda Scott, Richard Mor- | vi Emory Yurko, Paul Hilden- ‘and, Daniel Williams, and par- - | ents Bonnie and Ed Turchin. To the seniors at Lake-Lehman, the Washington trip is more than just a tour of the nations capital. The trip is a chance for the seniors to get together one last time before they graduate. : Alyssa Bost Is a National erit finalist Alyssa Bost, daughter of Stella and Ronald Bost of Shavertown has been named National Merit Finalist for the 1991-92. Bost is a senior at Lake-Lehman High School and is looking forward to majoring in biology at Cornell University. She has participated in soccer, school play and is a member of the Honor Society.
