Dallas Township Patrolman | Wayman Miers investigated the ~ accident. | 2 VEHICLES INVOLVED IN SIDESWIPE CRASH I" According to Dallas Township Police, a 1990 Honda Prelude | operated by Traci Ertley, 22, of Dallas and a 1989 Volkswagen operated by Donna L. McDermott, 25, of Sweet Valley, were involved in a sideswipe accident Monday, April 20, shortly before 5 p.m. Police said that the McDermott vehicle was traveling east on Country Club Road when the Ertley vehicle pulled out from the stop sign on Irem Road. The point of impact was in the intesection, police said. Ms. Ertley stated to police that she had difficulty shifting her car on the hill. Dallas Township Patrolman Wayman Miers investigated the accident. 2 VEHICLES COLLIDE AT LAKE ST. AND COUNTRY CLUB RD. According to Dallas Township police, a 1987 Ford Bronco oper- ated by Edward L. Jones, 79, of Harveys Lake and a 1988 Ford Tempo operated by Mark Stredny, 28, of Dallas, were involved in an accident on country Club Road at the Lake Street intersection Wednesday, April 22. Police said that the Jones vehicle had been traveling east on Country Club Road, while the Stredny vehicle had been traveling south on Lake Street. Stredny stated to police that he hit his brakes and cut to the left in an attempt to avoid hitting the Jones vehicle. After the point of impact in the intersection, the Jones vehicle turned to the right, hitting a stop sign and a street sign. Dallas Township Patrolman Douglas Lamoreux investigated the accident. POLICE INVESTIGATE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Dallas Township police are in- vestigating a complaint of criminal mischief reported by Harry Misson of RR 3 Dallas. Police said that Misson had parked his car behind the Dallas school administration building and later returned to find the antenna broken off, the driver's door window pushed in and the paint scratched. Dallas Township Patrolman Elliot Ide is investigating the inci- dent. BMX BICYCLE STOLEN FROM PORCH Dallas Township police are in- vestigating the theft of a black 20" GT-BMX bicycle, valued at $200, from the porch of the Jonathan C. POLICE INVESTIGATE BROKEN SIGN i Dallas Borough police are in- vestigating a broken wooden busi- ness sign, reported Thursday, April 23, at Camelot Car Care, 421 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Police said that the sign, shaped like a shield with a sword and axe, was removed from the business's front door and shattered. The damage is estimated at $100, police said. CAR HITS POLE IN RAIN, DRIVER CITED According to Dallas Borough police, a 1986 Chevrolet Nova operated by Kathryn Gildea, 20, of Exeter was involved in a one-ve- hicle accident Tuesday, April 21, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Police said that the Gildea vehicle, which was traveling north on Route 415, hita utility pole when it attempted to turn left into Gas Shop #24. Due to the darkness and heavy rain, the driver did not see the pole, police said. Ms. Gildea was cited for driv- ing under a suspended operator's license, according to the report. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene, police said. Dallas Borough Patrolman James Martin investigated the accident. Kingston Twp. CITED FOR RUNNING RED LIGHT James Zavada, 39, of O'Brien Drive, Wilkes-Barre, was cited for driving through a red light after a three vehicle accident April 21 at Church Road and Route 309, po- | ce said. | Zavada was driving south on he approached the intersection with Church Road and the traffic signal turned red for north and south bound traffic, police said. Zavada applied his brakes but his 1986 Toyota truck slid on the wet road, colliding with a 1991 Chev- rolet driven by John S. Oliver, of Eighth Street, Wyoming. Oliver had been crossing Route 309 from Carverton Road to Church Road with the green sig- nal, police said. His car spun 180 degrees and traveled up Church Road. Zavada's truck careened from Oliver's car, and struck an- other vehicle driven by Joanne Louise Parrish, of Hazeltine Street, Shavertown. Parrish was making a left turn from Church Road to northbound Route 309, police said. No one was injured in the acci- dent. Investigating officer was Ptl.
