The program is opened to interested persons. Rabbi James Michaels of Temple Israel will be the moderator; Tikvah Jeral of Wilkes-Barre, a survivor of the Holocaust in Poland, will share er story as will the Rev. Fred Mauger, Episcopal minister from Moscow, Pa. Mrs. Jeral, a tiny child, was ridden by a non-Jewish family for our years during WW II. Reverend Mauger, as an American soldier, was with one of the first units to nter the death camp, Dachau. “This program is being held to lelp students, faculty and other ommunity residents better under- tand the terrible history of the Holocaust, and therefore to par- icipate in commemorating the innual nationwide Days of Re- nembrance April 26 through May b," said Dr. William Pearman, ampus executive officer of Penn btate Wilkes-Barre. Auction of artwork to benefit library Supporters of the Back Moun- tain Memorial Library have sched- uled an art auction to raise funds and serve as the kickoff function leading up to the 46th annual Library Auction. The art auction will be held Friday, May 15 at Irem Temple Country Club beginning at 7:30 p.m. Conducted by Ross Galleries of Holbrook, New York, the auction will feature art in several media including works by Michel De- lacroix, Leroy Neiman, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro and others. There will be a $12.50 charge for admission, with advance pur- chases preferred. A prevew of the works to be offered for sale will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., during which time complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine and cheese will be available.
