LCCC, Penn State to meet The Luzerne County Community College women’s softball team will host Penn State-Berks on Wednesday, April 15, for a double- header beginning at 3 p.m. A number of area residents are members of the 1992 squad. Lifeguard course starts April 21 The Wilkes-Barre YMCA offers a Lifeguard Course set to begin Tuesday, April 21 from 7-10 p.m. The class will meet twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday for five weeks. Area dancers take top honors Kristen Nackley and Amy Margavitch, students of the Joan Harris Centre, Kingston, recently took part in five state regional convers tion in Philadelphia. The highlight of the convention was a SH competition between the attending schools. Amy and Kristen took top honors in the lyrical jazz division. Kristen, daughter of John and Dena Nackley, Dallas, is an eighth . grade student at Dallas Middle School and is a member of the band. Kristen works on the school newspaper and is a member of the cheerleading squad. She is a student aide at the Joan Harris Centre. Amy is a member of the National Honor Society. She is a 10th grade student at Hanover Area High School and is a member of the student counsel. Both girls will be appearing in the Centre’s original ballet, Cor- ciev, this spring as well as the school annual production at the F.M. Kirby Center.
