Xenakis of Dallas has been named Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Payne Precision Color Graphics accord- ing to an announcement made recently by Payne President and CEO Thomas R. Gauntlett. In the new position, Xenakis will be re- sponsible for the development and implementation of Payne's mar- keting efforts while also directing the efforts of Payne's full-time sales _ staff, Xenakis received his M.B.A. in Marketing and Communications from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL in 1975. He served as Director of Public Relations for Rollins from 1975-1980 before joining Wilkes University as Director of Public Relations and Publications in 1981. Xenakis, now 40, moved to New England in 1984 to serve as a Marketing Consultant for the Boston based Health Communica- tions Network. In 1986 he returned to Dallas to take on duties as Assistant to the President and Director of Marketing for Payne. Xenakis has a varied communi- cations background which in- cludes a four-year stint as Man- ager of Radio Station WPRK-FM in EN Winter Park, Florida. In 1985 he received the American Cancer Xenakis is currently a member of the adjunct faculty at Wilkes Uni- versity teaching courses in mar- keting and retailing. He is also a member of the National Associa- tion of Radio Broadcasters and the Public Relations Society of Amer- Lo ica. Xenakis is married to the for- mer Patricia Kelly of Harding. They have two children, Sean 18, whois currently a freshman at Rollins College in Florida and Patrice, 17, a junior at Dallas High School. Police report DALLAS TOWNSHIP POLICE INVESTIGATE BURGLARY Dallas Township police are in- vestigating a burglary December 30 at the residence of ‘Robert Kozlowski of Claude Street, Dal- las. Police said that someone en- tered the home through a porch adjacent to the garage; the inside locked steel door was forced open. Several first floor rooms were ran- sacked, and a Sears VHS VCR and a tie clasp which had several gold nuggets mounted on it were re- moved, police said. The total value of the missing items is $900, ac- cording to the report. Dallas Township Patrolman Robert Jolley, assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police Research and Identification Unit, investi- gated the incident. SANTA STOLEN FROM RESIDENCE Dallas Township police are in- vestigating the theft of a 6-foot mechanical Santa from the yard of Judy Ann Dickson, RD 1 Dallas, on December 27. Police said that the Santa was removed between 1 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. Dallas Town- ship Patrolman Douglas Lam- ~ oreaux investigated the incident. Rowland, 19, of Forest Road, Merrywood Hills, Mountain- top, told police he was driving a Volkwagon coupe south on Dug Road at about 3;{45 p.m. and on slowing to negotiate a curve, felt the steering of the car lock. According to police the car left between 30 and 40 feet of skid marks before it left the road. The car traveled 30 feet through a yard, struck a tree, glanced off of an- other tree, and rolled into a creek bed where it came to rest on its roof. : The passengers in the car were Robert Zanicky, 18, of Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, Chris Opal- icki, 19, of Lower Demunds Road, Dallas, and Sean Lenahan, 19, of East Pettebone Street, Forty Fort. Rowland and Lenahan were treated and released from General Hospital, while Zanicky and Opal- ickiwere treated and released from Nesbitt Hospital, according to hospital spokespersons. Rowland was cited for trans- porting intoxicating beverages, police said. FOUR YOUTHS HURT AFTER CAR HITS ROCKS Four Back Mountain teenagers were injured after the car they were traveling in hit two large rocks off of Hillside Road Saturday, January 4, police said. Brian Joseph Jezuit, 16, of Harris Hill Road, told police he was driving a 1988 Dodge east on Hill- side Road at about 9:43 p.m. when he swerved to avoid a vehicle coming toward him in his lane of travel. The car left the road and hit two large rocks, police said. DUI ARRESTS UP; ACCIDENTS DOWN Kingston Township police ar- rested a record number of drunk drivers in 1991, according to po- lice chief Paul Sabol. Sabol said that 54 people were arrested for driving under the in- fluence of alcohol in 1991, while 46 people were arrested for drunk driving in 1990. In 1991, Kingston Township police also made 33 underage drinking arrests. While drunk driving arrests have increased, Sabol reports that traf- fic accidents have declined stead- ily in the township in the last four years. In 1991, there were 196 acci- dents, down from 240 in 1990; 253 in 1989; and 268 in 1988. “I credit that to good enforce- ment on the highway,” said Sabol. “We must be doing something right on the road.” HARVEYS LAKE CHARGED WITH DUI, OTHER OFFENSES Stephen Francis Roesky, 31, of Laural Street, Plains Township, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol J anuary 3, police said. i observed driving south on Rou 415 in an erratic manner, and that it took half a mile to pull him over.
