Daisy Troop 623 holds investiture Daisy Girl Scout Troop 623 recently held its investiture ceremony at St. Therese’s Church. Dove) Dallas High School will hold financial aid program Dec. 4 The Dallas Senior High School Guidance Department is sponsor- ing a program concerning finan- cial aid for all students planning to continue their education beyond high school, and their parents. This program is scheduled for Wednesday December 4, 1991, at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Mrs. Patricia Russin, Counselor Coordinator, will moderate the program which includes the fol- lowing: A 20 minute financial aid video from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) on grants and loans will be presented. Ms. Jane Dessoye, Director of Financial Aid at College Misericor- dia will speak on College Based Financial Aid. With the high cost of higher education, this is an extremely important meeting for parents to attend. LYNN BALUH Natalie Ziolkowski honored at the University of Pittsburgh Natalie Ziolkowski, daughter of §&& Mr. and Mrs. Leonard W. Ziolkow- ski of 411 Elmcrest Drive, Dallas, was awarded The Alison Bentley Kephart Award given to the high- est ranking female freshman stu- dent at the University of Pitts- burgh. The award is for outstand- ing accomplishements in one of the biological sciences. The award was presented to her from the Department of Biological Sciences by the faculty of Arts and Sciences. Currently a sophomore, Natalie was also awarded an Upper-class Merit Scholarship. Her future plans are to major in physical therapy.
