Burke Sr., of RR 4, Dallas, recently gradu- ated from Coast Guard Recruit Training Center. Dan's employment at International color spanned approximately 26 years during which time he served as machinist and foreman. A U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, Dan has been a foreman at OPM since April 1980. The overall dedication of their service is also evidenced by outstanding attendance records. Dr. Jay Tanner honored by American Optometric Association Dr. Jay B. Tanner of Dallas is among 271 optometrists through- out the United States who have received the American Optometric Association's 1991 Continuing Optometric Recognition Award. The award is given to doctors of optometry who have completed 50 credit hours of continuing educa- tion in their field over a one-year period and, in addition, have pre- viously received the Initial Optom- etric Recognition Award. Fewer than 1,800 of the nation’s 25,900 practicing optometrists have earned the Initial Optometric Recognition Award. It is given to those who have completed 150 hours of continuing education in their field over a consecutive three- year period.
