The meeting will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the church social room with a covered dish dinner. Fol- lowing the meal Prof. Ros E. San- tos will offer musical entertain- ment. Martin is the current newscaster for Eyewitness News on the local NBC affiliate station, a post he has held since March, 1990. He was sent on special assignment to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. He is, a graduate of Scranton Central High School and holds a BA degree from Lafayette College in philoso- phy and Russian. He has done studies in communications at Jacksonville University. Fn 4 rently a Major in the PA Army Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zbick celebrate 50th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zbick, of Ceasetown will observe their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 4. The couple were married on October 4, 1941 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth by the late Father Stanley Gajewski. Their attendants were Pauline Zbick, the late Joseph Trojan, Mary Dalmus and Anthony Zbick. Mrs. Zbick is the former Leona Trojan, of Pikes Creek, daughter of the late Mary and Charles Trojan. Mr. Zbick, retired from P.G.W. Co is the son of the late Catherine and Peter Zbick. The Zbicks are the parents of two sons, Joseph Jr. II of New York, employed as a Consultant Engineer at Xerox Co., N.Y. James of Lehighton is an Associate Editor of Times News, Lehighton. They also have two grandsons, Joseph III, a senior at Penn State, and Jason, a freshman at Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Fla. Reed of Harveys Lake are celevrating their silver wedding anniversary and 25 years of ministry this month. Observing the occasion with renewal of vows, Reverend R.K. Pier, Charleston, Maine, officiated, who also officiated at their wedding vows on September 17, 1966. 4 Daughters of the couple, Melody and Joy, stood with their par- ents for the ceremony. Melody, 24, is manager of a Christian Book Store in Dallas, and Joy, 14, is a high school freshman at a Chris- tian Academy. Pastor Reed is the son of Mrs. Geraldine Reed, Pittsfield, Maine. His father is deceased. Mrs. Reed is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Elliott of Kn- oxford, Centreville, New Brunswick, Canada. Pastor and Mrs. Reed met while both were attending the Faith School of Theology, located in Charleston. They were married in the Knoxford Church.
