Mrs. Kubasti is the former Eliza- beth DeRemer, daughter of Ruth DeRemer and the late Richard W. DeRemer. Mr. Kubasti is the son of Victoria Kubastiand the late Joseph Kubasti Sr. The couple were married Sep- tethber 9, 1961 at Gate of Heaven celebrate 30th anniversary Church, Dallas by the Rev. Michael Rafferty. Their attendants were Louise Kubasti of Sweet Valley and Robert Kubasti of Swoyersville. They have a son, David of Kunkle and a daughter Melanie Kopco of Nanticoke and three grandsons, Justin and Chad Kubasti and Andrew Kopco. Atrip to Canada is being planned to mark the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rauch observe 50th anniversary ‘Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. “Joseph Rauch of Kunkle Road, Harveys Lake, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 3, 1991. The Rauch’s are the parents of two sons, living in Florida. Visiting Nurses attend health program Pat McCue and Ellen Nagy, two Dallas residents who are employ- ees of the Visiting Nurse Association, recently attended a health care program on case management. It was presented by Sally Cavanaugh, who is a health care consultant with Universal Man- aged Care, an affiliate of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylva- nia. The New Community Singers ‘will open their season with a per- formance of “Let's Sing the Old Songs” for the Homecoming cele- bration of the Noxen United Meth- odist Church. The entertainment is highlighted by personal appear- ance of “Frivolous Sal”, “My Wild Irish Rose”, Casey's “Strawberry Blond” and a 1920's Swimmer. The 25 voice female chorus, singing joyously over 10 years has openings for the new alto and second soprano and tenor voices. Shirley Mahle, is accompanied bv ‘The chorus under the direction of - New Community Singers to open season at Noxen UMC Elaine St. Claire at the piano. The chorus meets each Monday at 7:30 p-m. at the Rivers Room of Mercy Center from September to May with a three week recess after Christ- mas. The New Community Singers are presently accepting bookings for Christmas Holiday and Fall performances.
