Workshop sessions will be held Saturday mornings, 9:30 a.m. to noon. During the workshop sessions, Debbie Zehner, Workshop coor- dinator, joined by several Music Box Players, will instruct children in the basics of acting skills, voice projection, mime and movement. Demonstrations will be given in stage lighting and special effects, scenery construction and painting and costum- ing construction. One session will be given in dance, and one will be given in special makeup used to age actors, and to change actors to various animals and famous fairy-tale charac- ters. Children will find this session especially helpful in prepar- ing for Halloween. Also, during many of these sessions, children will rehearse dialogue and music for the special workshop show to be presented to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m. Children will also be invited to the Children’s show: Nobody Loves a Dinosaur, to be presented in October. The students will have an opportunity to explore the set and costumes of this production, as well as the sets and costumes of the September production of A Little Night Music and to ask questions of the directors, designers, and various actors of these productions. The fee for each student is $100 and applications for enrollment can be obtained by calling the Playhouse at 283-2195.
