This year, she volun- teered to work at the auction and both she and her husband worked at it. Susan realizes that volunteers are scarse today because there are so many families where both par- ents work but she hopes to get some of the younger people in- volved as volunteers in the library. “Many of these young people have some great ideas and can accept responsibility,” she said. “If they serve only a few hours weekly, it will be a big help.
