The competition involved ~ many different areas of technol- ogy related to a student's technol- ogy education courses. These Lake-Lehman students qualified for the state-wide com- petition by winning in the district competition that was held at the Lehman Campus of Penn State University on March 8, 1991. } Mrs. Mary C. Eleven ~ additional students returned to the ‘Wilkes-Barre campus to receive baccalaureate degrees. Twelve students were inducted into the Tau Alpha Pi honorary engineering society. At a recent Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference held at Seven Springs Resort, Champion, PA, two Bishop O'Reilly High School senior students earned awards for competition in \ business events. John Kasmark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kasmark place in the state in the Information Processing Concepts event. Edwa ‘Demchak of Kingston and the late Helen Demchak, earned seventh place in the state in the Mr. Future Business Leader competition. Over 2,200 FBLA members and advisors from all over Penn- sylvania attended the three-day conference. Student competitors qualified for state-level competi- tion only by winning events in the regional competition which was held in February. Middle School | concert May 24 The annual Dallas Middle School Spring Band Concert will be held Friday, May 24, 7:30 p.m. in the Dallas Middle School Auditorium. Featured at the concert will be | performances by the sixth grade band, seventh- and eighth-grade band, and the middle school Cz ensemble. Nor Musical selections will range from the Batman televsion show theme song to popular favorites like Runaround Sue and Pretty Woman. The concert is free and the public is invited.
