C-TEC presents excellence awards To strive for quality is to strive for excellence. This year, as in years past, C- TEC Corporation, Wilkes-Barre, presented its annual Pursuit of Excellence awards to those em- ployees who have achieved an exemplary level of quality in their work. Each year, C-TEC recognizes employees who have contributed in excess of their job requirements and those accomplishments have exceeded expectations. C-TEC Chairman Andrew J. Sordoni, III and President Charles E. Parente presented individual and group awards to 20 employees atthe Company's Annual Manage- ment Information Meeting recently held in Wilkes-Barre. was Anne Mushinski. AY Mercy Center Auxiliary plans garage/rummage sale Mercy Center Convent Auxiliary will present its annual Garage/Rummage Sale on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3-4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mercy Center garage. The sale will benefit the retired sisters at Mercy Center. The public is invited to attend. Area residents who wish to donate rummage items may deliver them to the lower lobby of the Mercy Center by May 25. Absent from the photo ¥ White elephant sale highlights annual flower club auction \ The West Side Flower Club conducted its “Make It, Bake It, Sew It, Grow It” auction during the May meeting held recently at the Church of Christ Uniting, King- ston, Added to this year’s event was a White Elephant Sale. A minute of silence was observed in memory of Palmer Lewis who had been an active, long-time member. A book will be donated to the Hoyt Library in memorium. The general chairperson of the auction was Ann Buczkowski. The president, Marion Kunigonis, was auctioneer. /lreasurers were Annette Reese and Marion Frantz. Chairperson of the bake stand was Mary Domanosky, assisted by Ann Stegura, Adele Semanek and Helen Bacak. Arts and crafts was chaired by : Marge Molly. Mary Kisailus and Ruth Rinehimer assisted. John Chorba was chairman of small plants. He was assisted by Margaret Ducas, Helen Marcelonis and Joan Yarris. Chairperson of the white ele- phant sale was Irene Yasenchak assisted by Angie Anushko, Carmela Gammatoni and Mary Chollak. Assisting the auctioneer on the floor were Leonard Domanosky and John Chorba.
