Interment was in the parish EDWARD BELASCO Edward G. Belasco, 62, of Machell Avenue, Dallas, died May 14, 1991, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Mary Kitsack Belasco, of Dallas and the late Andrew Belasco. He was a graduate of Allentown Allen High School and had been a resident of the Dallas area for the past 26 years. Beforeretiring, he was employed as a business agent for Local 249 of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Wilkes-Barre. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Marie Czapp; daughters, Nikki Banfield, of Germany; Mrs. Paige May, of Dallas. He was employed by McCreary Tire, Co., Indiana, Pa. for many years and was also an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Valley Lodge 499 F&AM, West Pittston, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Bloomsburg; the Irem Temple, Wilkes-Barre; the Penn State Alumni Association and the 56th Fighter Group Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Hoch; daughter, Mrs. Gary Coplan, Lakewood, NJ; sisters, Agnes T. Valentine, Dallas; Eliza- beth L. Born at Alderson, Harveys Lake, April 26, 1915, he was the son of the late Amos and Margaret Opplinger Kitchen. He was a mem- ber of Zion Lutheran Church, Weatherly. Until 1953, he was employed as a game warden for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Until his retirement, he worked as the head of the Weatherly Borough Street Department for 22 years. Hewas an Army veteran of World War IL. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mabel Davis, Hazel Leas, Virginia Kuddy, Iris Smith, Marjorie and Marion Kitchen; brothers, Arthur and Marvin. He was the last member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel M. Eicke; daugher, Mrs. Michael Garber, Weatherly, several nieces and nephews.
