Police report / DALLAS BOROUGH TWO CAR ACCIDENT Chief Jack Fowler investigated a two-car accident at the intersec- tion of Main Street and Huntsville Road, May 7, where he reported Barbara Giordino, RD 1, Pittston was traveling south on Main Street, Dallas, and was making a ‘U’ turn up Huntsville Road. She saw a 1979 Chevrolet driven by Laurence Earl Lansberry, RR 2, Firehall Road, Dallas, coming and stopped on Main Street but her car was struck by the Lansberry car. Lansberry told police he saw the Giordino car making the turn onto Huntsville Road and back on to Main Street and tried to avoid hit- ting her but could not. DUI CHARGED Officerdames J. Drury, May 5, stopped a 1984 Jeep driven by Joseph A. Mackiewicz, Wilkes- Barre traveling south on Route 415in an erratic manner, near the Back Mountain Shopping Center. The driver was cited for driving under the influence when his blood alcohol count tested .15. VANDALISM AT MOBILE HOME DEALER Dallas police investigated a report of vandalism May’ 6, at Bryant's Mobile Home business, Memorial Highway, Dallas, where they discovered windows and doors broken apparently by prying tools. Three mobile homes were vandal- ized in the rear parking area of the sales lot. Two were entered and all three had windows broken and attempts to pry the door were obvious. Cigarettes were put out on the carpeting and it appeared someone had a partyin the homes but nothing seemed to be taken. Employees have also found signs of underage drinking in some of the mobile homes. Investigation is continuing. KINGSTON TOWNSHIP TRAILER TRUCK FLIPS OVER Police say that on May 8 Martin W. Murray, RD 3, Wyoming was traveling west on West 8th Street at the intersection of Carverton Road in a 1973 Mack Truck with a Cobra dump trailer. He was mak- ing a left turn when a car came to the intersection so Murray said he made a wide swerve to the left to make the turn and felt the trailer of the unit begin to pull him over. At this time both the tractor and the trailer flipped over on its right side. Employees of the company which owned the unit were notified and came to the intersection and were able to get the unit back on the road. REAR END CRASH Officers Frank Ziegler and Robert Parrish were dispatched to a two car accident at the intersec- tion of Route 309 and Harris Hill Road May 7, where they found a 1983 Ford driven by Jeffrey Hyn- ick, Hunlock Creek and a 1985 Chevrolet driven by Cortney C. Grant, Tunkhannock, were both traveling north on Route 309 in the passing lane. Both drivers said they stopped in the passing lane trying to turn left in Isaacs car lot. Grant had stopped but Hynick could not stop in time to avoid striking Grant's car. WINDOW SHOT Kenneth Jenkins, salesman for Carverton Auto Sales, West 8th Street, Wyoming May 10, reported to police that someone shot a BB through a window of the business place sometime between closing and 12:14 p.m. LICENSE PLATE STOLEN Piazza Ross Shaver, May. 8, reported to Officer Michael Mo- ravec that sometime between May 6 and May 8, someone took Shaver's registration plate from his car. 5 Calendar items should be submitted by Friday two weeks in advance if they are to run twice.
