Highlight of the evening included Sister Farr giving thanks to her committees and calling on the various officers; Sister Celia Ellsworth was the first Noble Grand of #514 Lady Toby Lodge at Lehman Lodge Hall in 1964. Trout Unlimited to meet May 14 The Stanley Cooper Sr. Chapter of Trout Unlimited will meet on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Anthracite Post, 757 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. The program will feature Mr. Bill Cairns, rod builder, guide, fly fishing instructor, author and photographer. Bill has directed both the Orvis and the H.L. Leonard Rod Company's fly fishing schools. Mr. Cairns relocated to northeast Pennsylvania last year and is currently working with the Becks at their fly fishing schools on Fishing Creek. He will present a program on the evolution of the fly rod and space permitting, give a casting demonstration. There will be ample time in the program for Bill to answer all your questions on equipment and techniques with the long rod. All meetings are open free to anyone interested in trout/salmon fishing and maintaining the cold water lakes and streams in which they live.
