Monick made president of athletic conference Jack Monick, Athletic Director at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, has been elected President of the Commonwealth Campus Athletic Conference (CCAC) for a three year term. The CCAC is the athletic conference of the Penn State Uni- versity’'s Commonwealth Educa- tion System. As President, Monick will be working with the athletic directors of the 17 other commonwealth campuses across the state with athletic programs, such as eligibil- ity, rules and regulations and committee issues. : He has served as Chairman of the Tournament Awards for the Pennsylvania Colleges Athletic Association and on the member- ship committee of the National Association of 2-year Colleges. Monick is also facilities director of the new Athletics and Recrea- tion Building on the Wilkes-Barre campus in Lehman. Wilkes University to offer three summer Wilkes University has an- nounced that it will offer three different sports camps for the summer of 1991. : The first camp to be held will be boy’s basketball under the direc- tion of Wilkes head coach Ron Rainey. The camp will be held from July 8 through July 12 at the Marts Center on the Wilkes cam- pus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The Wilkes soccer camp will be held from July 29 to August 2 at Ralston Field in Edwardsville. The camp, under the direction of Wilkes McDonald earns scholarship to Pa. Free Enterprise Week Keith McDonald, son of James and Carol McDonald, a junior at Dallas Senior High School has been granted a full scholarship to at- tend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week '91 on the campus of Lycom- ing College, Williamsport. : Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week is a week long, national award-winning, economic educa- tion program offering students and teachers an inside look at the pri- vate enterprise system and how the free market functions. McDonald; willattend one ofthe three one-week sessions offered this summer. A total of 650 stu- dents and 50 teachers from across the Commonwealth have received scholarships, which cover the cost of room, board, materials, and scheduled activities. Participants will join with busi- ness people to experience the challenge of competition through a business management simula- tion. They will assume the roles of top management for fictitious companies. In addition to the management simulation, participants will hear top business leaders discussing topics such as business ethics, the stock market, and careers in busi- ness.
