The all day reunion Dearden's paintings on display at United Penn Paintings by husband and wife team Dick and Beth Dearden are currently on display at the United Penn Bank, Dallas. The paintings include local landscapes as well as some from Dick Dearden is an executive chef for Morrisons, and is a nation- ally renowned ice sculpture. But on evenings and weekends, he creates .paintings of light and shadow by literally pouring color included a Hawaiian Luau, BBQ lunch, dinner and dancing. It was ‘attended by 92 class members. For an estimate, call us. nan? | 2 As a student of the Cincinnati Museum of Art, Hanover College in Indiana, and other commercial art schools, Beth Dearden is a proficient commercial artistas well as a fine artist. : A member of Cider Painters of America, she works in ink, water- colar, acrylic and pastel to create her textural compositions as well as her unique posters. The art exhibit includes a beautifully tex- tural snow scene of a barn in Kunkle as well as another barn in Poverty Hollow, Orange, which Beth Dearden has literally trans- formed with color into a wonder- land scene. Also included in the exhibit is a sensitively painted snow scene which depicts the same view which also won a photography award for Dearden. Dick and Beth Dearden reside in Kingston. They are the parents of four grown children and grand- parents of three. The public is invited to view the artexhibitin the lobby of the United Penn Bank, Main Street, Dallas, during regular banking hours. The exhibit will continue through the end of April. Sweet Valley fair set to begin May 24 Killian honored for dedication to VNA Attorney Stephen Killian, a Shavertown resident, was among six volunteers recently honored by the Visiting Nurse Association for their many years of dedicated service to the local home health agency.
