Freemasonry is an organization dedicated to the brotherhood of man under the fatherhood of God. Members come from various relig- ious denominations and share the common belief in a higher being. Nationally there are several mil- lion masons. The Valley of Bloomsburg has almost five thou- sand members Donald A. Kessler, 33rd degree wisburg presided over the four ay event which featured degree teams from Berwick, Bloomsburg, Catawissa, Danville, Hazleton, Orangeville, Pottsville, Sunbury, Tamaqua and Wyoming Valley. It requires approximately 1000 Scot- tish Rite Masons to conduct a reunion. ‘in Freemasonry reunion The degrees were exemplified to a class of 53 candidates. Featured speaker for the event was Drew W. Washbau 33rd degree, Jeannette, Pa. who addressed the class prior to presentation of the final degree. QUILT RAFFLE - Harveys Lake Women’s Service Club will raffle a handmade quilt in December. Pictured from left, June Swanson, members of the Harveys Lake Women's Service Club presented the club with a handmade quilt to be raffled as first prize in its an- nual December raffle. Other prizes to be raffled will be dinner for two at the Castle Inn in Dallas, a gift certificate at D's Bridal in Dallas and a gift certificate at Lynn's Lingerie. The tickets can be pur- chased for $1.00 from any club member.
