He resided in Lehman for the past 28 years. He was employed by Mary MacIntosh Services for 26 years, recently serving as distribution manager. He was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. Dixon, 96, formerly of Knight Street, Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, died Nov. 18, 1990, in Wyoming Valley Health Care Center, Plains Township. Born in Beaumont, she was the daughter of the late William and Matilda Lutes Freer. She attended Beaumont schools. She had been employed at Trethaway's Store, Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, for some time and was a graduate of the Chicago School of Practical Nursing. She had done private duty nursing for many years in the Wilkes-Barre area. She had been a resident of the Miners Mills sec- tion of Wilkes-Barre for most of her life. She had been active with the Red Cross during World War II. She was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre and had been active in the Guild of the former Calvary Episcopal Church. She had also been an active member of the Ladies Aid Society of the Parsons Primitive Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre. ~~ for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John G., in 1974; son, John G., Jr. in 1963. Surviving are a son, William H., White Haven; daughters, Mrs. Estella J. She had been ill for the past six months. Born in Mocanaqua, Feb. 23, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Antoinette Kadtke Roszkowski. She was employed by Luzerne Outerwear for several years and was last employed by Amils Manu- facturing Co., Shickshinny, retir- ing in 1972. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Mocanaqua, and the Christian Mothers of the Church. He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School and the University of Scranton, formerly known as St. Thomas College. He also completed extended studies at the Stroudsburg College. Mr. Nardone taught school at Yatesville Borough School for a number of years and was last employed by the state Department of Public Assistance for 35 years. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served as an instructor at Indiantown Gap. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and its Holy Name Society.
