Reverend George Lewis officiated over the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton F. Drake of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Swartwood of Dallas, Pa. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Drake, Xenia, Ohio. Susan graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a Certified Public Accountant with Central and South West Services, Inc. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Everett of Austin, Texas and the grandson of Mrs. Melvin Soltau, Austin, Texas, and the late Reverend Melvin Soltau and Reverend and Mrs. Paul Ever- ett of Lebanon, Ohio. Timothy graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a doctor of ~ jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law. He is an attorney with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld of Dallas, Texas, Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional white silk gown designed with a sweetheart neckline, basque waist, leg of mutton sleeves and a cathedral length train that fell from a bow. The bodice, hem and train were appliqued with alencon lace and pearls. Her cathedral length veil was secured by a silk headpiece trimmed with lace and pearls. The bridal bouquet was a cascade of white roses, stephanotis and orchids with English ivy. The bridesmaids were gowned alike in floor length raspberry faille dresses. They carried cascade bouquets of stargazer lilies, English ivy and white freesia. Cynthia Rath of Lynchburg, Virginia, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kate Baxter Anderson, Elizabeth ° Fowler and Suzanne Smith of Dallas. Best man was Brian Huffman of Fort Worth, Texas. Groomsmen were Scot Smith of Dallas, Texas; Orlando Garcia of Austin, Texas; and Jeff Drake of Cambr- idge, Massachusetts. Jame Hargus of Dallas, Texas was soloist. Following the wedding a reception was held at the Park City Club. After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Dallas, Texas. On Thursday evening, grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Swartwood entertained the couple at a dinner for both families at the Old Spaghetti Warehouse in the Historic West End | District of Dallas, Texas. ) Friday evening the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner for attendants and out of town guests at the Adolphus Hotel. The event is open to all Penn State alumni, no matter which campus they attended. “We call it Homecoming because we want all Penn State alumni to think of the Wilkes-Barre campus as “home base” in Northeastern Pennsylva- nia,” said Jim Biondo '78, presi- dent of the local society. The Homecoming day begins at 11 a.m. Families are invited to bring their own lunch including a tailgate recipe to share. Biondo urges alumni to enter a favorite tailgate-type dish into a taste-test contest. He said grills will be avail- able for those who want to cook- out. Cocktails will be served from 6 to 7 . p.-m., dinner at 7 p.m., followed by open bar and socializing. Strouds host picnic The reunion is planned for all those who had fun at Al Coury's, Harveys Lake.
