She is well known for her impres- ‘ sionistic-style works which feature florals and landscapes. Using mostly watercolors, Hol- lister portrays the strong sunlight and shadows of sunflower petals reaching toward the sun; tree ~ shadows cast on snowy country ~ lanes; and the soft and gentle hues of wildflowers waving in the breeze. Working in mostly high key colors, Hollister imbues her works with air and space. Her love of music is apparent in her style of paint application. A resident of Montrose, she has painted for nearly 20 years. In addition to watercolor, Hollister also works in oil and pastel. She currently studies art with Sue Hand of Dallas. She has also studied with Ralph Khreli, Jeannette Leath- ers, Paul Elliot, Colleen Caterson Chris and Ann Marie Zettlemoyer. She is a member of Cider Painters of America and Hill Country Art- ists. She and her husband Dr. Amos P. Hollister are parents of two and grandparents of four. The Hollister Exhibit is open to the public at the United Penn Bank, Dallas, through the month of July.
