DENMON Staff Writer In a game that went 10 innings, the Back Mountain Legion team lost its first game of the season when Hanover’s Ken Strish drove out a two RBI double to break a 3- 3 tie and give his team a 5-3 win. It was the Back Mountain's first loss in three games while Hanover moved to 1-1. Chris Engle, who was credited with the loss, gave the Back Moun- tain team a 2-0 lead in the first inning when he hit a two-run homer. Matt Butler scored the third run for the local team in the bot- tom of the sixth to tie the game. Engle struck out 14 and walked only three. Three unearned runs by Hanover in the fourth inning on 10th inning double helped them take the win. The Back Mountain team took an 8-5 win from Wilkes-Barre Wednesday with Sam Gorgone starting on the mound but Keith Schultz picked up the win when he came in as relief. Wilkes-Barre scored two runs in the first and two in the third to take a 4-2 lead over the Back Mountain but the local boys rallied for five runs in the fifth inning paced by Engle’s three-run homer. Engle also drove out a double to give him four RBI's for the game, and went 3 for 4 at the plate. Sam Gorgone and Schultz drove out doubles for the Back Moun- tain. Schultz struck out six and walked four and Gorgone struck out five and walked four. Teener League results ‘The Dodgers romped over the Brewers 23-11 last week with . Charlie Siglin on the mound. Pat Joyce led the Dodgers at the plate going 4-for-4 and picking up 6 RBI's and Drew Bishop had 2-for- 2 knocking in three runs. Harry Haas went 2-for-4 for the Brewers. Chris Boraski was cred- ited with the loss. \ Earlier in the week the Dodgers nipped the Yankees 1-O behind Pat Joyce's three hitter. Joyce struck out six and walked four. The Dodgers scored the only run in the third inning when Paul Witkow- ski singled, went to second on a balk, then scored on on Brian Ford's single. Todd Paczewski pitched for the Yankees giving up only three hits, striking out four and walking one. The Dodgers played excellent defense with Bishop and Vozniak making some sparkling plays for the Dodgers. Howe and Viglone turned in some fine plays for the Yankees. The Harveys Lake Astros de- feated the Back Mountain Dodgers 10-2 behind Will Woronko's two- hitter. Woronko struck out seven and helped in the win by going 2- for-5, one a double at the plate. Ryan Picchi hit 2-for-4 and Brian Llewellyn continued his hard hit- ting with 3-for-5, one a double and scored twa runs. The camp will run each day from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
