DENMON Staff Writer The State Correctional Institu- tion of Dallas honored approxi- mately 70 volunteers at its 5th Annual Recognition Ceremony, «Thursday, April 19. A special presentation of pres- entations by the choral group of ‘Catholic and Protestant Choirs under the direction of Donald Winston, director opened the pro- gram. Superintendent Joseph M. Ryan expressed appreciation to the vo- lutneers for their work throughout the past year, on behalfof his staff. Presentation of awards which included engraved ceritificates and ceramic pitchers bearing the in- signia of Pennsylvania were pre- _. sented to each of the volunteers by "Chaplain James Pall, Protestant Chaplain and Rev. Clement J. Pidskoch, C.S.C., Catholic Chap- lain. DENMON Staff Writer Dallas Township Planning Commission and zoning board members met prior to the town- ship supervisors meeting, Tues- day, April 17, to act on applica- tions for permits presented for sub- divisions. It took members only a short time to table the petitions until a special meeting could be held April 24, because the petitions did not contain the necessary information. Tabled until the special meeting were request for sub-divisions by Arthur Miller for property on Hill Street; a sub-divisfon by Keenan, property on Carpenter Road; asub- division by Norman Darling, prop- erty on Hildebrandt Road; a one lot subdivision by Goodleigh Farm; and a sub-division of land for townhouses by College Misericor- were done by the prison residents in the printing and arts and crafts shops.
