DENMON Staff Writer The Lake-Lehman Knights de- feated Bishop O'Reilly 60-53 last Tuesday night, then took West Side Tech 66-47 Friday night to run their record to 6-2 in the second half and 15-7 overall. The wins also give them an opportu- nity to earn a berth in the playofls. “What happens depends on the Scranton teams,” explained Coach Rodger Bearde. "If Lakeland makes the playoffs, GAR will be first in Division AA, Dallas will be second and we will be third and Lakeland fourth. If Lakeland doesn’t make it, and one of the other Scranton teams do, then there could be a playofl for a spot between Dallas and Lake-Lehman. "Dallas is a Division II {eam playing in triple AAA during the season so they deserve a chance in the playofls. The Scranton teams don’t finish when we do so we will have lo wail and see what hap- pens,” Bearde continued. “In the game wilh West Side Tech, they played hard and gave us a fight for a time, but then we opened up and drew away from them taking a nine point lead into the lockerroom at halftime,” Bearde said. Rob Wilson led the Knights with 17 points and Glenn Nilsson had 15. Troy Strauser gave the Knights 10 points. Mike Strutko, Jones and Nilsson had three-pointers, Nilsson having two of them. The Titans were 2-for-2 at the foul line. The Knights were 8-for- 15. The Knights took a 12-7 lead at - the end of the first quarter and never gave il up taking a 31-18 lead into the lockerroom at halftime. O'Reilly rallied in the second half but the Knights held them off to win 60-53. This week the Knights have two tough games, scheduled for Crestwood away Tuesday night and playing Meyers alt home Thursday. Lake-Lehman girls clinch post-season playoff spot By CHARLOT M.
