Mrs. James Clark
Tracy Leigh Snowdon
marries James Clarke
Tracy Leigh Snowdon and James Ramsey Clarke were married
October 28 in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre. The
Rev. W. Donald Lyon, rector of the church, officiated at the cere-
mony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold C.
Snowdon, Jr., Shavertown. Mr. Clarke is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank P. Clarke, Jr., Lake Winola.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Eileen M. Barber, Lake Winola, was matron of honor. The
bridesmaids were Kelly M. Greene, Conyngham, cousin of the
bride and Debbie S. DiGiralomo, Stanford, Conn.
Robert D. Barber, Jr., Lake Winola, served as best man. The
ushers were Raymond J. Snowdon, Clarks Summit, and John J.
VanDorick, Clarks Summit.
The Friday before the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Clarke Jr.
entertained the wedding party and family members at a dinner
held at the Westmoreland Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard J. Snowdon, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. H. John
Snowdon and ‘Mr. Raymond'J. Snowdon, relatives of the bride,
entertained the couple at a cocktail buffet in August at the Waverly
Country club.
The bridesmaids entertained the couple at a shower held in Oc-
tober. :
Mrs. John N. Conyngham, III and Mrs. Charles M. Epstein
hosted a luncheon for the bride at the Westmoreland Club the
week of the wedding.
Tracy Snowdon Clarke is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston, Mass. She is em-
ployed as a consultant pharmacist with Geriatric Pharmacy
Systems, Inc., in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Christmas auction at Idetown Methodist
A Christmas Auction will be held at the Idetown UM Church Hall,
Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. There will be toys, children's furniture, high
chairs, cradle, dressing table, car seats, swings, play pens, and lots
more for the children and infants. :
Also, new ladies 12 speed bike, dirt scooter, TV serving tables and
cart, ironing boards, etc.
There is lots more...Make an effort to come and “guaranteed” you

Craft show at Dallas Methodist Saturday
The Couples Club of the Dallas United Methodist Church will host
their First Annual Craft Show and Sale at the church, 4 Parsonage
Street, Dallas (above Rea & Derick) on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. A snack bar will be provided by Boy Scout Troop 281, under
the direction of Charles Wasserott IV.
The following craftspeople will have displays at the show: Laura and
Bartt Slocum, Rev. Mike and Bonnie Bealla, Lori Besecker, the Plains
U.M. Church, Peg Hargbaugh, Mary Jane Horwath, Delores Sorbelli,
Old Mill Crafts, Colette Mahoney, Louise James, Francine Cilladi,
Betty Frisbie, J.P. Ceramics, Ron O'Neil, Make and Bake: Ceramics,
Roxanne Darby, Elsie Rauch, Ruth Newberry, Debbie Bayer, Debbie
Ent, Thelma Bowman and Hazel Winner. A variety of crafts will be
featured including: painted clothing, face painting, painted and stained
wood items and furnishings, ceramics, jewelry, toys and Christmas
items. The show is free to the public.
Reserve now for St. Ann's luncheon
The last day for reservations for the St. Ann's Alumnae Association
Christmas luncheon will be Thursday, Nov. 30.
The luncheon will be held at the Westmoreland Club on Saturday,
Dec. 2 at 12:30. Happy hour will be from 11:30 to 12:30. !
There is a menu choice of either chicken cordon bleu or roast ten-
derloin of beef. The cost is $15.

Red Cross invites volunteers to open house
Volunteers of the Wyoming Valley Chapter, American Red Cross, a
United Way Agency, would like to extend an invitation to all Red Cross
volunteers, their families and friends to attend their annual Holiday
Open House at the Chapter House, 156 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre,
Sunday, Dec. 17, from 2-4 p.m. A group of music students from GAR
High School will present a brief, musical program at 2 p.m. and
refreshments will be served.
If any Red Cross volunteer would like to assist the committee by
donating cookies or by helping in any way, please call the Office of
Volunteers, 823-7161, extension 25.
Girl Scout Troop 636 holds investitures
On Monday, Oct. 30, Girl Scout Troop 636 held their investitures.
The girls, under the direction of Mary Jane Kosick, described and
demonstrated different types of award badges they can work to achieve.
Among the candlelight and costumes the parents laughed and ap-
plauded the beautiful performances.
On Saturday, Nov. 4, the girls enjoyed a performance of Rumplestil-
skin at the Music Box Dinner Theater in Swoyersville. The candy sale
was a great success as always, thanks to you.
Back Mountain seniors plan
Christmas party for Dec. 2
Back Mountain Senior Citizens
under Project Head met recently at
St. Therese's Auditorium, Pioneer
Ave., Shavertown. Plans for the
Christmas party on December 2,
were discussed.
The party will start at 5:30 p.m.
to be placed on the tree.

Mark Naud in June
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Maslow of Dallas announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Hilary Gail to Mark Eric Naud, a son of Dr.
and Mrs. Joseph Naud of Detroit, Michigan.
Miss Maslow is a granddaughter of Mrs. John W. Moore and the
late Mr. Moore and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maslow of Dallas. 7
Mr. Naud is a grandson of Mrs. Eric W. Michaud and the late Dr.
Michaud of Kitchener, Ontario and the late Dr. and Mrs. Henry J.
Naud of Detroit, Michigan. :
Miss Maslow, a graduate of Wyoming Seminary Preparatory )
School, the University of Vermont, Tobe-Coburn School for Fash- | %
ion Careers and Parsons School of Design, is an interior designer
in New York City.
Mr. Naud, a graduate of the University of Detroit Jesuit High
School, attended the University of Vermont and will graduate from |
the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources in May. |
He was recently employed by R.L. Thunder Co. for the Formula |
40 Grand Prix SailingWorld Championships in Europe and the

Mrs. Ruby Elston, Overbrook
Rd., Huntsville, celebrated her 93rd
birthday on November 16. Mrs.
Elston was born in the home where
she resides. She is the daughter of
the late B. Frank Bulford and Ellen
Duckworth Bulford.
Her husband, Clarence Elston
died in 1986. She is a member of
the Huntsville U.M. Church and
Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Auxil-
iary. Harold Elston, her son lives
on Reservoir Road, Huntsville. Her
daughter, Nancy Schimmel lives
at State College. She has six grand-
children and nine great grandchil-
dren.
