Commonwealth Telephone supports triathlon Commonwealth Telephone Company recently made a donation to the Greater Wilkes-Barre Triathlon Committee. The triathlon, sponsored by The Times Leader and Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, is an : annual event held during Labor Day weekend. The endurance race consists of a 1.5-kilometer swim at Harveys Lake, a 40-kilometer bicycle race from Harveys Lake through the Back Mountain to College Misericordia and a 10-kilometer run which starts and finishes at College Misericordia. This year, participants will vie for prizes totaling $30,000. Sometimes, 911 systems contact the wrong emer- gency services because of similar or duplicate names. For example, there are several Jackson Town- ships in Pennsylvania. “There should not be a problem with wrong companies being called because the system would be cen- trally located with a computer servicing just the Back Mountain area,” according to Dallas Borough Police Chief John R.
