Music Leigh Pawling's watercolors now on display Watercolor artist Leigh Pawling, a native of Dallas, will exhibit her paintings during the month of August in the lobby of the United Penn Bank, Main Street, Dallas. Ms. Pawling, a graduate of Dal- las High School, has been painting for over 13 years. She exhibits her work regularly, and has been commissioned by a gallery in the Grand Cayman Islands to produce a series of watercolor florals for sale in their Gallery. She has stud- ied watercolor with nationally rec- ognized artists such as Judi Betts and Ed Havas as well as with Sue Hand. Ms. Pawling has studied fine art at Wittenburg University and leaves next month for Italy: where she will study drawing and painting in Florence for the next year as part of a program through Cleveland Art Institute. In addition to her career as a fine artist, Ms. Pawling is a profes- sional picture framer and art in- structor. She has taught art at Sue Hand's Imagery as well as in Ohio. The exhibit includes many local landscapes including the Harveys Lake Outlet with its waterlilies, Van Horn's Barn in Dallas, still lifes and florals. Ms. Pawling is noted for her free brushwork and exciting use of color.
