Her family invites all her friends and relatives to an open house at the East Dallas United Methodist Church Hall, Lower Demunds Rd., Dallas, from 2-5 p.m. The former Margaret Parks grew up in Benton. She moved to Dal- Shavertown. She has three chil- dren, Mrs. George (Marian) Ed- wards of of San Jose, California, Charles of Wyomissing, and Mrs. John (Carol) Kristan of Dallas. Mrs. Weiss has 10 grandchil- dren and three great-grandchil- dren. Yoga The Potentate’s Ball which has been named “Simply Elegant” and is considered by Nobles of Irem Temple to be the outstanding so- cial event of the year, will be held on the pavilion of the Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas, on Satur- day, July 22, 1989. Attending the affair will be the Right Worshipful Grand Master of the Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania, Brother Arthur J. Kurtz and his Lady Jane who will be welcomed and introduced by the Guest of Honor, Walter H.R. Mohr, Potentate of Irem Temple. Illustrious Potentate, Walter H.R. Mohr has appointed Carl H. Kretchmer, General Chairman and Milan W. Shepherd, Co-chairman. One of the highlights of the evening will be the Grand Entrance of Potentate Mohr and his Lady, Mary. After being escorted to the stage by his ChiefAide, Noble Alfred Luff, they will welcome and intro- duce members of Irem’s Divan, Past Potentates of Irem Temple, visiting dignitaries from other Shrine Temples and their ladies. The social hour will begin at 5:15 p.m. Irem’s Jazz Band under the direction of Max Speizman, Past Potentate, will entertain. Noble Carl H. Kretchmer at 6:30 p.m. in the Club House's Terrace Room and Main Dining Room will precede the gala affair. Dinner reservations will be limited to the first 300 persons. The affair is open to the General Nobility and their guests. Admission to the Ball itself, which will be held on the pavilion, will be by Fez and is open to the General Nobility.
