The Army Commendation Medal is awarded to those individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement or meritorious serv-" ice in the performance of their duties on behalf of the Army. He is a field artillery surveyor with the 1st Armored Division. Spudis is the son of Bonnie J. Spudis of 235 Meadow Crest, Trucksville. The specialist is a 1986 gradu- ate of Dallas Senior High School. Army Pvt. Kathleen L. Ondish has arrived for duty in West Ger- many. She is a still photographic spe- cialist with the 511th Military In- telligence Battalion. Ondish is the daughter of Dale D. and Helga E. Ondish of 32 Church St., Dallas. The private is a 1987 graduate of Dallas Senior High School. Army Spec. John F. Mahalick has participated in exercise “Team Spirit '89" in the Republic of Korea. The exercise involved personnel from all military services of the Republic of Korea and the United States. The purpose is to increase the defensive posture of the Re- public of Korea and U.S. support forces through training in com- bined operations. He is amissile crewmember with the 5th Air Defense Artillery in South Korea. : Mehalick is the son of Evelyn Mahalick of 60 Mill St., Dallas. The soldier is a 1986 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, Lehman. Senior Master Sgt. John D. Morrett, son of Denzil J. Morrett of RD 1, Dallas, has reenlisted in the U.S. Air Force at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont., for sixyears. Morrett is a utilities superinten- dent with the 34 1st Civil Engineer- ing Squadron. His wife, Vickie, is the daughter of Philip and Joyce born of 5427 E. 18th St., Tucson, Ariz. The sergeantis a 1971 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Kingston, Pa, In 1981, the sergeant received an associate degree from the Community Col- lege of the Air Force. McCarthy Honored at Alumni Day Lee J. McCarthy, Dallas, received Wyoming Seminary’s Alumni Association Award at ceremonies held on Alumni Day at the upper school. The award is presented annually to an outstanding alumnus or alumna, as an expression of appreciation for unselfish and dedicated service to the school. McCarthy, president of Community Motors in Kingston, is a 1944 graduate of Wyoming Seminary. He is accepting his award from Claire Conlon Evans '52, director of alumni programs. Dr. Raymond will be listed in the first edition of the “National Register of Professional Disability Consultants” to be published next year.
